Zohan (Adam Sandler) is an Israeli commando who wants to become a hairstylist. So he goes where? To America of course. You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (here on out referred to as Zohan).

It made me laugh. I don’t know what people expected from this film but based on what comedies I’ve seen thus far this year this one is the most unique. It reaches within and brings about comedy in reference to the political state we are in. The theme towards the end is oddly powerful in it’s own silly way. I liked the surprise of certain people being in the film that I didn’t know where going to be there because I don’t read about films all that often prior to their debut. It tends to ruin the fun for me.

Adam Sandler makes me laugh with the characters he creates and this one is no different in that respect. I like the entire get up. He wears these really girly shirts but he hits on any female that moves. That’s one of the reasons this movie is different is because of the older women. I don’t know where they found these women but wow they are funny and apparently really good with double entendres. Sandler’s interaction with them is bizarre but oh so funny. Rob Schneider was the weakest link in the entire film. He was sort of bleh at the beginning but then got better towards the end. John Turturro played Phantom and he was wacky in a good way. Emmanelle Chriqui was the love interest Dalia and she acted well and was certainly nice to look at and deservingly so since Sandler’s butt was seen a few too many times prior to her first appearance. The nice surprise was Nick Swardson who played Michael. He was subtly funny with his whispering comments under his breath and his facial expressions.

The storyline of Zohan was quirky. So from knowing that the events that occurred were within bounds. The randomness of certain scenes could have been so out of whack they would have been funny, but even though they were silly they were every bit as funny as they should have been. It’s just awesome that a comedy doesn’t have to be centered around raunchiness like certain comedies this year. It can be silly but have social moral to it. Zohan was just that. It had a point while it was gallivanting about being weird, wacky and satirical.

It’s not a wipe away the tears because I laughed so hard kind of movie. It is a movie that gives some really good laughs while giving a decent story that is timely. It was nice to see Adam Sandler in this kind of comedic light again. It’s like watching a remember when type video. Remember when Adam Sandler had crazy characters he played? I’m sure you do. Zohan is now added to that character list.

There were lots of funny scenes that have to do with Sandler and the old women. Those scenes were great. Any scene that had Nick Swardson in it were great scenes. He just made the movie sometimes with his mannerisms and voice. Then there is a Rocky parody that happens towards the end of the film and I really liked it. I especially liked it because of what the Phantom drinks in front of the refrigerator. That was awesome. There are some scenes that use C.G.I. and it looks apparent but that’s alright because I think that was part of the funny for those scenes; the apparent fakeness of it all.

Zohan is a good comedy and one I’m sure most will like if they like Adam Sandler. If you don’t like him then just skip it. Should you take any kids to see this film? There was nothing that was adherently bad about the film that would rot your child’s brains if you don’t care if they see Adam booty, hear cussing or old woman sex (not seen but assumed by the noises). This is the time when I should say something cliché like Adam Sandler’s back baby! But I rather say something random like, “All associates are busy. Please hold to speak to the next available member of the Taliban.”

well i went and saw this movie when it had first came out. i really liked how the commercial for the movie went on TV. it had really showed the movie and what it was to be about. unlike other movies. It was a good movie but it was not great. it had a different sense of humour compared to 'white chicks'. the girl that played in the movie was a good actress. and the main actor was good. the only part i didn't like in the movie was when they had involved the stapler and stapled some guys head. i thought that was a little bit too much out there for me. Other than that it was a good movie and funny as well.

This movie was funny in some places but for the most of it, it was very stupid. The rating for the movie is PG I think it should have been PG 13 because there are many nude scenes as well as a lot of sexual things going on during the movie. One part a child walks in on zohan and his mother doing the dirty. So I think it should have been pg13. The movie has a very stupid plot. I believe it is one of the worst Adam sander movies I have ever seen and that is hard to say for me because I love the actor he is one of my favorites. This particular movie was bad mostly because the plot was so bad. The acting was good but if you do not have a good plot then sorry the movie isn't going to be wonderful. As far as “bad guys” are concerned there isn't any. In the end they all get together and everyone is happy. So basically in my opinion the movie is a flop. The previews for the movie show the best things about the movie.
